Milan Area Schools is a community committed to achieving academic excellence for all learners through research, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Michigan law requires that every 7th Grader and every new student entering school be immunized against specific diseases. Parents/guardians that choose to waive these requirements, must follow these rules. The requirements state that parents seeking a non-medical waiver for school-required immunizations must go to the local health department for a discussion regarding vaccines. Then the health department will issue a non-medical waiver. Waivers need to be delivered to Milan Middle School.
Medical waiver forms can be obtained from school and must be signed by your student’s physician. They can also be found at www.michigan.gov/immunize.

Friday-1/18--Today’s Character Counts message is: “No one is perfect--that’s why pencils have erasers.” by Wolfgang Riebe
Don’t forget to buy your yearbook! As the years go by you will want to look back at yourself and the friends you have in middle school and remember the fun you had! Whether you are in sports, part of the play or in drama, went to a dance, built cool stuff in STEAM or Robotics, are part of the SNAP or Peer Mediator, in the NJHS, band or choir, in the Spelling Bee, or anything else, you will want to have your very own book of memories! If you haven’t already bought a yearbook, stop by the main office to get an order form or have your parents go to Jostens to get one today!
